About the role

Dovenmuehle is a leading mortgage subservicing firm with clients nationwide. This role provides leadership and operational responsibility for the department.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior management to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate departmental goals, budgets, and initiatives.

  • Monitor trends and departmental performance to adjust staffing and resources.

  • Develop and enforce measurements and controls to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Manage and approve timely, accurate responses to audits, compliance reviews, and other requests.

  • Implement policies and procedures to promote service excellence and a positive work environment.

  • Recruit, select, and manage departmental staff, including providing guidance on regulatory compliance and professional development.

  • Prepare and submit departmental reports and communicate performance status.

  • Represent the department at internal and external meetings and projects.

  • Manage employee performance, provide coaching, and coordinate corrective action.

  • Manage time-off approvals and annual performance reviews.

  • Complete annual regulatory compliance training.

  • Resolve cashiering issues and ensure timely and accurate operations.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, contractors, and the public.

  • Monitor and stay current in mortgage servicing matters and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in mortgage servicing, Cashiering, financial services, or similar industry.

  • 3-5 years of management experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Strong knowledge of mortgage compliance and regulations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

  • The ability to motivate others and serve as a role model for organizational and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in mortgage servicing, Cashiering, financial services, or similar industry.

  • 3-5 years of management experience.
