About the role
The Coordinator, Cash Applications & Adjustments supports accounting and payment operations by accurately applying incoming cash payments, researching adjustment requests, and providing customer service to internal business partners. This position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work across multiple systems simultaneously, and experience handling accounting transactions, currencies, and invoice adjustments in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Apply incoming cash payments to the appropriate property, account, or invoice in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide customer service and operational support to internal partner teams regarding payment and account inquiries.
- Review cost adjustment requests and determine eligibility for removal or adjustment based on established guidelines.
- Research and validate adjustment requests by accessing and analyzing information from multiple systems.
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues related to payments, invoices, and account adjustments.
- Perform invoice adjustments accurately while adhering to internal procedures and controls.
- Navigate multiple applications and screens simultaneously to support daily operational requirements.
- Process transactions involving different currencies and ensure accurate currency conversions.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial data and account records.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting established service and productivity expectations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payment and adjustment-related concerns.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting, banking, cash application, currency handling, or a related financial operations environment preferred.
- Experience researching and resolving financial transaction issues.
- Experience working with multiple systems and applications in a high-volume operational environment.
Skills
- Strong understanding of cash application and payment processing principles.
- Ability to research, analyze, and validate financial transactions and adjustment requests.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing payments and invoice adjustments.
- Ability to work efficiently across multiple systems and screens simultaneously.

Preferred Skills
- Experience handling international currencies and multilingual financial transactions.

Pay
Typical base pay range: $20.00–$22.25 per hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
