About the role
The Caseworker supports the Immigrant and Refugee Community Services programs in Sioux City by providing supportive services to refugee and immigrant clients, including skill development, case management, advocacy, and resource connection.
Responsibilities
- Know the basics of outcome-based performance measures
- Help clients develop goals and facilitate service plans that enable each client to meet their personal goals
- Meet with clients in person or via telephone during normal business hours, as well as in the evenings and occasional weekends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health and human services + 1 year of full time, related health and human services experience
- Equivalent education and experience accepted: Associate's degree + 3 years OR a high school diploma/GED + 5 years of related experience
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a good driving record
- Ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check
