Caseworker/Program Facilitator

Responsibilities

Maintain a positive presence in the Wayne County, develop and maintain the programs of The Salvation Army related to volunteers and other community agencies.

The Caseworker/Program Facilitator at the Honesdale Service Center is responsible for responding courteously and promptly to all communications while providing intake and referral services for Salvation Army clients at the Honesdale Service Center and the surrounding service units of Wayne County, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with policy and protocol.

• Recruits and trains volunteers for service center programs
• Provides monthly statistical reports to the Regional Manager
• Handles intake for government and other agency funding programs, maintaining records within established guidelines
• Creates and implements fundraising events with Regional Manager approval
• Organizes, and coordinates seasonal programs such as Camp, Back-to-School, and Christmas (including Angel Trees and food drives with local churches, businesses, and schools)
• Affords assistance with the Red Kettle Campaign in coordination with the Honesdale Kettle Coordinator
• Creates forms for seasonal programs with office manager approval
• Maintains accurate program files
• Oversees inventory management, orders supplies, arranges maintenance of office equipment, and ensures office cleanliness
• Affords assistance in training volunteers, attends training seminars as required, and performs all other duties as assigned by the Office Manager

• As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five (5) years thereafter
• Mets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History
• Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check
• Must understand and appreciate the Mission of The Salvation Army

Pay

$13.00 per hour; 72 Non-Exempt
