Case Sealer/Padlock Operator (1st shift)

Primary Responsibilities

• Picks up cartons from conveyor and stacks onto pallets
• Check cartons for quality
• Stretch wrap pallets for finished goods inventory
• Print and place load tickets on each case / pallet
• Assist Feeder/Packers
• Assist during breaks
• Hand pack into corrugated cases
• Manual sorting for defective jobs

Background / Experience

• Mandatory: Manufacturing experience
• Excellent attendance and ability to work independently required

Skills

• Languages: Read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively
• Mathematics: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, use common fractions and decimals, compute rates, ratios, and percents, draw and interpret bar graphs
• Reasoning: Solve practical problems, deal with a variety of concrete variables, interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Mechanical: Understand basic mechanical concepts

Education / Knowledge

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required

Essential Job Functions

• Schedule Requirements: 8-hour shifts (M-F), 3rd shift schedule is (Sun-Th)
• Overtime: Required to work up to 12-hour shifts including weekends
• Physical Requirements: Standing, awkward and repetitive movements, bending/stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching above shoulder level, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, performing robotic motions continuously, lifting up to 50 lbs. continuously and up to 74 lbs. frequently, requires use of both feet on a continuous basis, requires use of both hands for simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation and repetitive actions on a continuous basis, ability to read, write, hear, see, speak and have agility on a continuous basis, reading computer screen or other electronic devices, use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment, work in areas of fluctuating temperature, requires use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Steel-toed/safety footwear, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Cut resistant Safety Gloves, Hair Net, Beard Net
