Case Manager Registered Nurse
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Case Manager performs the primary function of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients in the department.
What you will do in this role
- Utilize good problem solving abilities, making sure that problems are resolved, calling on other knowledgeable parties as necessary.
- Evaluate collected data and prepare reports assessing accuracy, completeness, timeliness, progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Maintain confidentiality by following hospital rules and reminding others when necessary.
- Actively participate in continuous quality improvement activities by making suggestions for improvement and helping to make positive changes to include quality control, quality assurance, safety and inspection control practices.
- Actively participate in the team spirit of the department, helping to accomplish the department mission, and lending a helping hand to other members of the team as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited RN program
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required or RN Compact State Licensure in the State of Residence
- Case Management Certification (CCM) or American Case Management Association (ACMA) certification preferred
- 3-5 years acute care experience and Case Management or Utilization Management preferred

About Parkridge Medical Center
Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital near downtown Chattanooga. It features comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services including cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. Services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state-of-the-art neurosurgery program and access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
