Case Manager Parenting and Family
About the role
The Supported Parenting Program is a family support, home-based service program designed to prepare, strengthen, and support parents who are navigating challenging life circumstances. Families served are often adjusting to new parenthood, building routines, supporting their child’s development, and balancing the many demands that come with raising a young child. This program promotes positive parenting practices and healthy parent-child interactions in everyday life. Our goal is to empower parents to meet their children’s developmental needs, reduce barriers to stability, and foster long-term family well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home visiting services to parent(s), first-time parent(s), and those with children who may benefit from additional support to promote positive outcomes.
- Create individualized plans to help parent(s) develop confidence in caring for their children and building self-esteem.
- Provide education about child growth and development as well as offer support and reinforcement for healthy parenting skills.
- Offer assistance to all members of the family to resolve tensions and discord arising from co-parenting, visitation, discipline, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, or related field such as: Human Development and Family Studies, Human Services, or Sociology.
- At least six months of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, or related field required.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of child development and parenting techniques.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with families.
Benefits
- Competitive salary of $45,000 + yearly.
- Flexible schedule with First Shift (Day).
- 40 hours per week.
