Case Manager - DC -Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC)

About the role

The Office of Statewide Programs will have an opening for a Case Manager- Specialty Courts. This position is located in Letcher County.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a caseload of specialty court participants and provides comprehensive case management services.
• Conducts participant home visits and site visits.
• Connects participants with treatment providers, community resources, and support services.
• Provides crisis intervention and support as needed.
• Makes drug testing arrangements and administers drug tests as needed.
• Conducts participant assessments, including assessments within correctional facilities.
• Enters and maintains accurate data in designated case management systems.
• Maintains thorough and timely case records and documentation.
• Prepares files, and tracks court orders and related court documents.
• Attends specialty court staffing meetings and provides comprehensive participant progress reports to the Specialty Court Judge and multidisciplinary team.
• Attends court sessions and monitors participant compliance, engagement, and recovery progress.
• Develops and maintains collaborative partnerships with community agencies, treatment providers, and other stakeholders to enhance services and opportunities available to specialty court participants.
• Affords assistance with or leads program events, including participant graduations and recognition ceremonies, as appropriate.
• May offer assistance with the training, mentoring, and onboarding of new specialty court staff.

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree in human services, criminal justice, psychology, or similarly related field.
• Experience: None required.
• Substitute Education for Experience: None required.
• Substitute Experience for Education: Successful completion of the KCOJ Adult Drug Court program may substitute for the minimum education requirement, provided the individual has remained in good standing for two years following completion of the program. Additional relevant work experience will substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
