About the role
Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a full-time Case Manager to join our Connect to Care team. This role is crucial for individuals seeking mental health and/or substance use services, providing case management, crisis intervention, and support.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed case management to individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
- Support initial assessments, bridge services, crisis intervention, and ongoing engagement in care.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and care coordination staff to help clients meet basic needs, access services, and set goals.
- Offer support, assistance, consultation, and education to families, friends, landlords, employers, community agencies, and others involved in the client's life.
- Identify and utilize natural support systems and community resources to enhance treatment program engagement.
- Reach out to eligible clients, inform them of available services, and educate them about community resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related human services field, or a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with at least one year of behavioral health experience.
- Demonstrated interest in the behavioral health field.
- Knowledge of community resources and basic understanding of differing behavioral health presentations.
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
- Vaccination and TB test requirements.
Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (preferred).
Pay
The starting wage is based on experience and company equity, ranging from $21.03 to $31.56 per hour. Bilingual employees may receive an additional $3,000 per calendar year in differential pay.
Schedule
This position is fully onsite/in-person, Monday through Friday, 5x8 schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM. A 4x10 schedule may be available after 60–90 days, with hours from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM and either Wednesday or Thursday off.
