About the role
The Peer Recovery Coach position at Primo Center is dedicated to supporting individuals in overcoming homelessness and building brighter futures. This role requires exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a passion for helping others.Responsibilities
- Provide peer support to clients in recovery from substance use disorders.
- Facilitate group sessions and individual counseling to promote healing and recovery.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop comprehensive care plans for clients.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with individuals in recovery from substance use disorders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Passion for social justice and community empowerment.
- Experience working in a non-profit setting preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and recovery models.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
