About the role
The Case Manager position at Tidal Basin supports clients and applicants impacted by disaster events. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for disaster survivors, assessing unmet needs and developing recovery plans.Responsibilities
- Coordinating required services to address unmet needs and assessing when a case should be recommended for closure or reopening.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with community members, organizations, and stakeholders.
- Representing the organization at community events, meetings, and forums.
- Developing and implementing outreach strategies to promote organizational initiatives.
- Gathering and communicating community feedback to internal departments.
- Cooking and managing community engagement programs and activities.
- Serving as a point of contact for community inquiries, concerns, and suggestions.
- Facilitating open communication between the organization and the community.
- Monitoring community trends and issues to inform organizational planning.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment with community needs.
- Ensuring health and safety guidelines are established and followed.
- Completing required training including safety training.
- Preparing reports on community engagement efforts and outcomes.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in publicly facing case management.
- Experience compiling and entering data, preferred.
- Experience in event planning and public speaking is a plus.
- Must be able to clear a criminal background check.
