Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned litigation matters from inception through trial and resolution
- Conduct legal and factual research using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Bloomberg Law, and other legal research tools
- Proofread, fact-check, cite-check, and Bluebook briefs, motions, complaints, and other legal filings
- Prepare, finalize, and electronically file documents in federal and state courts
- Research applicable rules, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategy
- Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, litigation databases, and supporting documentation
- Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, trials, mediations, and client meetings
- Cook up schedules and logistics with attorneys, clients, court personnel, vendors, and outside counsel
- Track court deadlines, maintain case calendars, and support overall litigation management
- Record billable time and perform additional administrative and litigation support as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5–12 years of litigation paralegal or case management experience within a law firm
- Securities litigation and/or class action litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience with electronic filing in federal and state courts
- Strong legal research skills using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Bloomberg Law, and similar platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in cite-checking, fact-checking, and Bluebook citation
- Excellent proofreading, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal technology platforms
- Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously while meeting competing deadlines
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed in support of trial and case deadlines
