Responsibilities
- Maintain a caseload of 10-15 clients, conducting intake assessments for public benefits and socioeconomic needs.
- Provide support by assisting with benefits applications, making referrals, and connecting clients to appropriate resources.
- Participate in regularly scheduled case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions, while also providing assistance for cross-departmental events.
- Participate in community outreach events to promote the services offered by Community Programs and Social Services and establish networking connections.
- Maintain up-to-date case records and program statistics in Trax Solution database.
- Accompany clients to appointments for benefits and entitlement meetings when deemed appropriate.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working within a community-based organization
- Must be available to work Saturday shifts
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- Knowledge of available community resources, such as public benefits, housing assistance, healthcare services, employment support, and educational programs, and the ability to connect clients with appropriate resources.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Mandarin speaker preferred
