Case Management Tech II

About the role

As a Psychometrist at Damar, you will work under the clinical supervision of a licensed psychologist, neuropsychologist, or other qualified behavioral health care provider. You will be responsible for direct client and family work, including the routine administration, scoring, and compilation of results from comprehensive evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Combine and evaluate information gathered from observation, collateral documentation, and interviews.
• Establish rapport and maintain flexibility when interacting with clients.
• Assist and participate in evaluation clinics.
• Initiate gathering of collateral documentation by requesting, receiving, and organizing previous mental health, medical, education, and other records for client assessment.
• Provide education to staff members as needed.
• Offer crisis intervention and crisis consultation when necessary.
• Ensure all testing supplies are available and order more as needed.
• Obtain or maintain CSAYP certification and knowledge of risk assessment tools for sexual behavior problems in youth.
• Prioritize duties in alignment with organizational objectives and growth.
• Maximize efficiency and effectiveness through optimal use of materials, equipment, and staff.
• Act as a steward of Damar and/or client finances.
• Serve as a member of Damar's interdisciplinary team, contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of services.
• Show initiative by identifying solutions to improve stakeholder satisfaction.
• Complete thorough and concise case management history.
• Ensure youth and families receive regular, timely, and comprehensive evaluations that respect cultural and linguistic preferences (e.g., language, spiritual affiliation, dietary and dress requirements, gender roles).
• Stay current with treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations to ensure Damar’s clinical services meet best practice standards.
• Interact professionally with parents, school, and medical personnel, coordinating clinical services between Damar, schools, clinics, and families as needed.
• Respect the culture, diversity, and rights of all clients, their families, and the community.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution, with completion of coursework relevant to the position (e.g., psychological assessment, clinical psychology, statistics, neuroscience).
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant applied experience in the treatment of individuals with developmental disabilities who have emotional or behavioral issues.
• Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets Damar’s insurance carrier eligibility requirements (for all positions requiring driving).
• No felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect, or other disqualifying criminal convictions.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening.
