About the Role

Case Management Representatives ensure the accurate intake, processing, and management of DNA testing cases, maintaining compliance with chain-of-custody requirements and client expectations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the timely processing of samples, from receipt to final reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify incoming sample packages, ensuring chain of custody and package integrity.
• Accurately input and audit patient and contract information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Manage case assignments, track progress, and determine case resolution and closure.
• Identify complete and partial cases, following established procedures for processing.
• Prepare and send final reports, chain-of-custody documents, and affidavits in a timely manner.
• Input partial billing information.
• Coordinate and provide service that is timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered.
• Meet or exceed productivity targets, ensuring timely case processing and resolution.
• Prepare affidavits.
• Notarize case documents as required (limited).
• Collaborate with internal departments, including Laboratory Operations and Customer Service, to facilitate case resolution.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned or become evident.

Requirements

• One (1) to two (2) years previous data entry experience preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet production goals in a high-volume environment.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and typing skills are required.
• Strong ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues effectively.
• Knowledge of record-keeping and chain-of-custody protocols is a plus.
• Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision; must also be able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain flexible to changing priorities.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive client information.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Manual dexterity to handle, label, and file samples and paperwork.
• Standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling to accomplish tasks and transport samples from accessioning area to Laboratory.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
