Responsibilities
- Perform accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, coding expenses, payroll and equity reconciliations, bill payments, and accounts receivable for multiple entities
- Prepare financial records for general tax preparation, 1099s, and tangible personal property returns
- Compile financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis based on client needs
- Apply basic accounting principles and methods, including cash, accrual, and GAAP
- Analyze accounting data with attention to big-picture implications and logical thinking
- Communicate project statuses and questions effectively with team members and supervisors
- Interact with clients to gain a basic understanding of their financial affairs and needs, as directed by relationship managers
- Participate in training and independent learning to enhance technical and professional knowledge
- Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple engagements
- Contribute to team efforts by supporting colleagues and taking initiative when needed
- Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership
- Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual performance and overall firm productivity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred (Associate degree with relevant experience allowed)
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits/credits, journal entries, and financial statements
- Proficiency in learning and using accounting software and related tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and client interactions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Accurate mathematical and financial analysis skills
- Ability to follow procedures and deliver high-quality, reliable work
- Ability to work independently while proactively seeking support as needed to maintain efficiency and productivity
- Full-time or part-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines
Pay
Colorado compensation range for this role is $26.45–$34.00 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Discretionary incentive compensation is based on firm, group, and individual performance.
