About the role
The Cullman County Commission is hiring a Full Time CARTS Driver.
Responsibilities
- Drive vehicle
- Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Keep vehicle clean
- Keep updated reports concerning vehicles and monies (fares)
- Assist passengers within established guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Valid CDL with passenger endorsement
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a CDL Driver utilizing that passenger endorsement
- Safe driving record
- Insurable with the County's insurance carrier
- On-call at all times for emergencies
- Willing to work different shifts
- Knowledge to understand and follow rules and regulations of defensive driving
- Able to operate a MDC properly and maintain proper paperwork
Qualifications
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical
- Subject to random and routine unannounced drug screening throughout employment with the County in a "Safety-Sensitive" position
