Responsibilities

  • Organize and direct the carton department ensuring quality cartons are produced for the packing department that meet customer specifications and Ardagh Glass Packaging quality management systems.
  • Coordinate repacks and reselection of containers by outside warehouses.
  • Track daily production to ensure adherence to the production schedule.
  • Maintain accurate cardboard inventory and location.
  • Generate and maintain container and cardboard scrap requests.
  • Maintain accurate and updated specification files for cartons.
  • Monitor and reduce scrap generated in the packaging process.
  • Develop sustainable relationships with outside suppliers to ensure materials are up to standard.
  • Comply with environmental and food safety standards as outlined in plant policies within the department.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in manufacturing.
  • One (1) year of experience in inventories.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with SAP.
  • Prior experience with food safety.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Prior experience working with lean manufacturing, kaizens, and 5S.
