Cartographic Analyst

About the role

The Maritime Cartographer will support our customer in Springfield, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain geospatial databases and maps using GIS software.
• Conduct geospatial analysis to support mission objectives.
• Create and update shapefiles, geo-databases, and features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of geospatial data.
• Stay updated with the latest geospatial technologies and software.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years with a degree or 5 years with High School of experience in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) and Imagery Intelligence (IMINT).
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Expertise and experience in geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Knowledge of geospatial analysis software suites (ArcGIS Pro, ERDAS & SocetSet).
• Knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, geographical information systems (GIS), and NGA digital data formats.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred but not required.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in ArcGIS applications.
• Experience with geospatial analysis software suites.
• Understanding of digital cartography and image processing.
• Knowledge of NGA digital data formats.
