About the role

As a Cart Runner at Festival Foods, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service by assisting guests with parcel pick-up and ensuring carts are readily available in all weather conditions. Your dedication to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment sets the stage for an outstanding shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding service by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere through friendly, courteous, and cooperative communication with associates and customers.
  • Maintain Guest Services expectations and standards.
  • Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas, returning them to the store in all weather conditions.
  • Perform prompt parcel pick-up service to enhance customer convenience.
  • Share customer requests with management and proactively resolve issues as they arise.
  • Support other duties as assigned, including superior customer service initiatives.
  • Honor commitments with regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice for occasional absences.

Requirements

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with associates and customers.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to read, count, and write accurately.
  • Equipment Operation: Proficiency in operating all necessary equipment to perform the job efficiently.
  • Product Integrity: Ability to bag efficiently while maintaining product integrity.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, stoop, and lift or push up to 50 lbs regularly. Fine finger and broad manual dexterity, as well as eye-hand-foot coordination, are necessary for operating equipment. Work hours may vary and include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, often in all weather conditions.
