Carrier Operations Coordinator (Employee Benefits)
About the role
The GBS Carrier Operations Specialist is responsible for the internal execution and coordination of all carrier-related processes including licensing & commissions, materials library, and employee training and access. This individual supports the ongoing success of GBS carrier partnerships by ensuring accurate, timely, and accessible information across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain broker and agency appointments with all carriers
- Manage broker and agency licensing across all states as needed, including coordinating ExamFX access and supporting employee licensing
- Regularly audit GBS employee access to carrier portals and manage access updates
- Maintain a comprehensive and organized library of all carrier information for internal use
- Communicate carrier rules, guidelines, and updates to appropriate internal departments (quoting, enrollment, eligibility, COBRA, implementations, etc.)
- Support Sales and Operations teams with accurate carrier information and documentation
- Conduct research on new carriers and gather required information for onboarding and partnership setup
- Prepare materials and internal summaries to support carrier discussions led by senior team members
Requirements
- Must have a Utah Life, Accident & Health license (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- 2-5 years’ experience in employee benefits or related field preferred
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Windows 11 and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Pay
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule.
