About the role
The Athletic Communications Coordinator will oversee all communication efforts for the Athletics Department, including media relations, social media management, and public relations.
Responsibilities
- Manage media relations for Athletics events and athletes
- Create and maintain social media accounts for Athletics
- Develop and implement public relations strategies
- Coordinate with external partners and media outlets
- Write press releases and news articles
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports communications or related field
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience with social media platforms
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Skills
