About the role

The Athletic Communications Coordinator will oversee all communication efforts for the Athletics Department, including media relations, social media management, and public relations.

Responsibilities

• Manage media relations for Athletics events and athletes
• Create and maintain social media accounts for Athletics
• Develop and implement public relations strategies
• Coordinate with external partners and media outlets
• Write press releases and news articles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sports communications or related field
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Experience with social media platforms
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with video production and editing
• Ability to manage social media campaigns

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
