Carpenter Pre-Apprentice

About the role

Selected participants will begin on the jobsite. Their focus will be on learning to work as a team, safe work practices, and developing the fundamental skills needed to assist with a specific trade.

Responsibilities

• Carpentry: Learn about carpenter formwork, scaffolding, finishing concrete, tying rebar, metal and wood stud wall framing and building stair stringers, among other general carpentry skills.
• Take basic measurements, the proper use of hand and power tools, and equipment operation (aerial, scissor, and forklift).

Qualifications

Team members will continue to earn a paycheck while they learn and progress towards achieving journey-level proficiency and journey-level wages.
