Carpenter Journeyman

About the role

In this role, you will construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using the carpenter's hand tools and power tools while conforming to local building codes. You will read and interpret construction documents to find information related to the project.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety rules
• Provide leadership to carpenter helpers, apprentices, and laborers
• Erect scaffolding
• Maintain or modify woodwork and other related structures
• Occasionally work around hazardous material and equipment
• Install concrete reinforcement, connection embeds, use of multiple form systems, trim work, door, and hardware installation

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience

Qualifications

• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures
• Can follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job
