Carpenter Journeyman

About the role

The Carpenter II performs carpentry duties necessary to maintain building structures and finishes in good repair. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Repairing or installing new walls, partitions, floor tiles, ceiling tiles, and systems furniture
• Drywall patching, painting, and adjusting and installing door hardware
• Planning and laying out of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions
• Using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments
• Making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work
• Selecting materials necessary for the work

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance
• Minimum of fifteen years of carpentry experience required
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs

Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Compensation

$38.99 per hour
