Responsibilities
- Makes measurements and marks guidelines on working surfaces to prepare for laying down work
- Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drain structures, highway structures, walls, and additional structures
- May assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed)
- Uses carpenter’s belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of verifiable experience
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn
- Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening
