About the role
The Carpenter position at PCSI is full-time based at Fort Sill, OK. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 4pm.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions using a variety of trade hand tools, portable power tools, standard measuring devices, and standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work and selecting necessary materials for the work.
- Adhere to general safety plan, assist in materials handling and equipment usage, and operate general construction equipment on site.
- Perform carpentry work to a level consistent with Glover Standards and set forms for concrete work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Four years' related experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.
- Working knowledge of related equipment.
- Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
Skills
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and work on ladders.
- Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, and reach.
- Ability to lift 75lbs up to 10 times per day.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision.
