Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crews while maintaining productivity, safety, and quality standards.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to perform layouts and installations.
- Cookordinate manpower, schedules, and project activities with Project Managers and General Contractors.
- Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed on time and within company standards.
- Maintain quality control and resolve field issues in a timely manner.
- Oversee and participate in:
- Retail fixture installation
- Gondola shelving installation
- Decor package installation
- Door and hardware installation
- FRP and Marlite panel installation
- Cabinetry and millwork installation
- Finish carpentry
- Casework setting
- Drywall hanging, taping, and finishing
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience in commercial or retail construction.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or supervisory role managing field crews.
- Able to work approximately 90% night shifts.
- Willing and able to travel as required.
- Minimum experience in one or more of the following: Commercial retail carpentry, Metal or wood framing, Drywall installation, taping, and finishing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Must provide own hand tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing millwork and finish installations in large retail environments.
- Previous work experience in major retail chains such as Walmart, Safeway, Foodland, Whole Foods, Longs, or other big-box retail establishments.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
