Carpenter Foreman

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret measuring tools such as, tape measure, speed square, framing square…etc.
• Absorb and apply knowledge of setting and erecting forms using a variety of materials and forming systems for vertical and horizontal concrete structures.
• Assist in the marking, cutting, and assembly lines on materials.
• Absorb and apply knowledge of general carpentry tasks, such as building and installing barricades, decks, shelves, and any other miscellaneous site needs.
• Absorb and apply knowledge of assisting in placing and finishing concrete.
• Assist in the following: disassembling, removing, and cleaning form materials.
• Support project with other tasks as directed by supervision.
• Communicate with Foreman regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any hazards noted.
• Work under production schedule pressure.
• Attain set standards of accuracy.
• Perform duties in a safe manner.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
• Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
• Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
• Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
• Familiarity with DOT specs and requirements (for roadway and MOT operations).
