About the role

The Carpenter B at Primoris Energy Services performs skilled carpentry tasks, including layout, cutting, fitting, and assembling structural components for industrial construction projects. This role requires precision and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine layout and dimensions.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and drywall using hand and power tools.
• Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, and trim.
• Construct and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, and temporary structures.
• Repair and maintain existing wooden structures and equipment.
• Perform demolition tasks as required.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a carpenter in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
