Carolina Poly Night Production Supervisor

About the role

Carolina Poly, Inc. is seeking a Night Production Supervisor to join their team. Located in Chester, SC, they produce various plastic products such as high-quality trash bags and construction films.

Responsibilities

• Captures, monitors, and maintains safety and good housekeeping practices in all areas of the department.
• Directs daily manpower placement, including planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Directs, monitors, and assists in the training of all employees under their supervision.
• Manages all positions and people within their area of responsibility, including addressing complaints and resolving problems between and concerning the positions and people within their area of responsibility.
• Maintains, verifies, and approves time for hourly employees.
• Applies, develops, and promotes employees under their supervision, including recommending raises, promotions, and transfers.
• Schedules and coordinates with other departments and shifts to eliminate production delays, equipment delays, or problems.

Requirements

• Possesses a Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Has 2+ years of experience with blown-film and extrusion equipment, and 2+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.
• Can thrive in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing deadlines.
• Is available to work any schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Has strong communication and time management skills.
• Has proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and AS400 application experience preferred.
