Carlin - Open Pit Advanced Helper

We are looking for an Advanced Helper in our Carlin Surface Maintenance department. Responsibilities

• Works as a team member and actively pursues development of self and others.
• Preventative Maintenance: Change oil in all compartments, grease the machines, install filters.
• Equipment Operation:
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Identify and understand crane control.
  • Verify capacity of equipment used for lifts.
  • Inspect audible and visual alarms.
  • Inspect the area of the actual pick.
  • Obtain proper rigging for lifts.
  • Select proper picking points and ensure proper attachment of rigging.
  • Use a tag line if needed.
  • Use proper controls for lifts and maintain proper positioning during the pick.
  • Inspect, clean, and return crane control to the storage area.
• Computer/Manuals:
  • Identify correct parts in parts book.
  • Read and understand service manuals.
  • Demonstrate basic Ellipse skills, including building and closing work orders.
• Works effectively with other crews and departments.
• Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work practices.
• Respect others' work styles and ideas.
• Hydraulic: Change pumps.
