We are currently searching for a Registered Cargo Tank Inspector with 5+ years of tank and/or trailer repair and inspection experience for our Gibraltar, MI Location! Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Perform tank service and repair.
• Install and repair trailer suspension.
• Work with air brake systems and repairs.
• (Optional) TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding.
• Effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).
• Maintain Registered Inspector status or become eligible within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of tank and/or trailer repair and inspection experience.
• Must be a Registered Inspector, or eligible to become a registered inspector within 6 months.
• Physical demands: regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; with assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.

Pay

Pay: Dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
