Cargo Tank inspector and mechanic

We are currently searching for a DOT inspection certified mechanic with 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience for our Houston, TX location. Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Perform tank service and repair.
• Install and repair trailer suspension.
• Work with air brake systems and repairs.
• (Optional) TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding experience.
• Effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat).

Requirements

• DOT inspection certified mechanic.
• 3 to 5 years of tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; with assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00 to $41.00 per hour, dependent on experience. (Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)

Schedule

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00am‑3:30pm CT.
