Caregiver - School-Hour Shifts

About the role

Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers in Summit County, Ohio. We offer flexible daytime work options, typically between 8AM and 5PM, with some shifts running 2-6 hours in the middle of the day. We match clients to your preferred window, ensuring a personalized schedule.

Responsibilities

• Help people in their homes with tasks such as baths, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, and errands.
• Provide companionship and support to older adults.
• Do not administer medications or perform medical tasks.

Requirements

• Driver’s license and own vehicle with valid insurance covering work-related driving.
• Available between 6AM-8PM, within your chosen window.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• STNA (Active or expired): $18/hour, 1-3 days, no test required.
• HHA Certificate (30+ hours, RN-signed unless done online): $16-18/hour, 5-8 days.
• Experience (1+ year at one company under an RN or LPN): $16-18/hour, 5-8 days after verification.
• No experience: Free 32-hour online training (6 days to complete, not paid), $16/hour, 1-2 weeks.

Benefits

• Free training pathway available.
• Up to 10% extra on holidays.
• Performance raises: $0.50 at 90 days, $1.00 at 1 year, $1.50 at 2 years.
• Referral bonuses: $100 after 30 days with perfect attendance, $300 when referring a caregiver who stays, $75-$1,500 for referring a private pay client.
• Paid every two weeks via direct deposit.

Pay

• STNA: $18/hour.
• HHA: $16-18/hour, based on interview.
• Private pay client: HHA $19/hour, STNA $20/hour, with additional pay on holidays.

Schedule

We respect your travel limits and work preferences. Our clients are located throughout Summit County, and we match clients based on your availability and preferences. Shift lengths vary, ranging from 2-6 hours, and you can expect to have several clients across different days to reach your 20+ hours per week.
