About the role

Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers in Summit County, Ohio. We offer flexible daytime work schedules, ranging from 8AM to 5PM, with most shifts lasting 2-6 hours in the middle of the day. We match clients to your preferred window, ensuring a personalized experience.

Responsibilities

Help people in their homes with tasks such as baths, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, running errands, and providing companionship.
Do not give medicine or perform medical tasks; these are handled by nurses.
Drive time between clients is paid, except for the first and last client of each shift.

Qualifications

STNA license: $18/hour
HHA certificate or experience: $16-18/hour, based on interview
Free training pathway: $16/hour
Private pay client referral: HHA $19/hour, STNA $20/hour, 10% extra on holidays

Benefits

Three performance raises in the first two years: +$0.50 at 90 days, +$0.50 at 1 year, +$1.00 at 2 years.
$100 after 30 days with perfect attendance.
$300 when you refer a caregiver who stays — $100 at 60 hours, $200 more at 200 hours.
$75-$1,500 when you refer a private pay client, based on their hours.

Pay

STNA: $18/hour
HHA certificate/experience: $16-18/hour, based on interview
No experience: $16/hour, free 32-hour online training

How Client Matching Works

We respect your travel limits, pet preferences, and smoking habits. Your matching pool may be smaller, especially if you have strict limits. We always have clients available, and you're first in line when openings occur.

Attendance Policy

Reliability is gauged through fill-in shifts during your first two weeks. Permanent clients will be assigned immediately after that. Attendance is part of the raise criteria, and no-shows and last-minute call-offs are not tolerated.

What You Need

Driver’s license and own car with insurance covering work driving.
Pass background checks.
Available between 6AM-8PM.
Legal right to work in the U.S.
At least 18 years old.
No PTO, no 401k, no health insurance.

We match by travel distance, covering Akron, Barberton, Copley, Cuyahoga Falls, Hartville, Hudson, Kent, New Franklin, Norton, Rootstown, Silver Lake, Stow, Tallmadge, Uniontown.
