Caregiver - School-Hour Shifts

About the role

Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers in Summit County, Ohio. We offer flexible daytime work options, typically between 8AM and 5PM, with some shifts running 2-6 hours in the middle of the day. We match clients to your preferred window, ensuring a personalized schedule.

Responsibilities

• Help people in their homes with tasks such as baths, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, and errands.
• Provide companionship and support to older adults.
• Do not administer medications or perform medical tasks.

Requirements

• Driver’s license and own vehicle with valid insurance covering work driving.
• Available between 6AM-8PM, within your chosen window.
• Legal right to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• STNA license: $18/hour
• HHA certificate or experience: $16-18/hour
• No experience: free 32-hour online training, then $16/hour

Benefits

• Free training pathway for HHA positions.
• Up to $75-$1,500 referral bonus for private pay clients.
• Three performance raises in the first two years: $0.50 at 90 days, $1.00 at 1 year, and $1.50 at 2 years.
• Flexible scheduling based on your availability and client preferences.

Pay

• STNA: $18/hour
• HHA: $16-18/hour, based on interview
• Private pay clients: HHA $19/hour, STNA $20/hour, plus 10% holiday pay
• Direct deposit, bi-weekly paychecks

Schedule

We match clients to your preferred window, ensuring a personalized schedule. Shift lengths range from 2-6 hours, with some clients requiring longer sessions. We gauge reliability with fill-in shifts during your first two weeks, and permanent clients are assigned once matches are found.

Client Matching

We respect your travel limits and availability, matching you with clients who fit your schedule. If your limits are strict, your available clients may be limited, but we always have clients in other areas ready to match you.

Guarantee

If you can travel to any of our locations and work with any client, you will start working quickly. We always have clients available, and if there's no immediate match in your area, you're first in line when one opens up.
