Caregiver - School-Hour Shifts

About the role

Haven Home Care is hiring caregivers in Summit County, Ohio. We offer flexible daytime work schedules and provide free training for new caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Help people in their homes with tasks such as baths, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, and companionship.
• Do not give medicine or perform medical tasks; these are handled by nurses.
• Drive time between clients is paid, except for the first and last client of each shift.
• Earn additional money through bonuses and referrals.

Requirements

• Driver’s license and own vehicle with valid insurance covering work driving.
• Available between 6 AM and 8 PM, with the flexibility to set your own work window within this range.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• STNA license: $18/hour
• HHA certificate or experience: $16-18/hour, depending on interview outcome
• No experience: free 32-hour online training, then $16/hour

Benefits

• Three performance raises in the first two years: $0.50 at 90 days, $1.00 at 1 year, and $1.50 at 2 years.
• Additional earnings of $100 after 30 days with perfect attendance, $300 when referring a caregiver who stays, and $75-$1,500 when referring a private pay client.
• Paid every two weeks via direct deposit.

Pay

• STNA: $18/hour
• HHA: $16-18/hour, based on interview outcome
• Private pay clients: HHA $19/hour, STNA $20/hour, plus 10% extra on holidays.

Schedule

We match clients to your preferred work window, which can be as short as 2-3 hours per visit. Most caregivers have 2-4 regular clients each week, with additional fill-in shifts available.

Client Matching

We respect your travel limits and work preferences, but your client availability may be smaller if you have strict limits. We always have clients available in your area, and you are prioritized when openings occur.

Guarantee

If you can travel anywhere we have clients and work with any client, you will start working quickly. We always have clients available, and if there's no immediate match in your area, you are first in line when one opens up.
