About the role
Professional Case Management, a leader in home healthcare, is hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) to provide in-home healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Create your own flexible schedule
- Provide one-on-one patient care in the comfort of clients' homes
- Enhance clients' health, quality of life, and peace of mind
- Enjoy additional time for education, travel, volunteering, and family activities
- Work with patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Encourage clients to be as independent as possible while maintaining confidentiality and dignity
- Assist with non-skilled personal care tasks such as bathing, skin care, hair care, nail care, mouth care, shaving, dressing, feeding, ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, medication reminders, respiratory care, homemaking, and respite care
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks like light cleaning, meal preparation, dishwashing, bed making, laundry, attending medical appointments, and shopping
- Follow emergency procedures and promptly report accidents, injuries, or significant changes in the client's condition to the RN
Requirements
- Experience in nursing with respect for individual, cultural, and spiritual differences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers
- Compliance with agency policies and procedures
- Emotional and cognitive maturity to maintain a good working relationship with clients, families, and agency personnel
- Free from health problems that could be injurious to clients, self, and coworkers
- Pass a 2-step TB skin test and provide proof to HR
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a neat, clean personal appearance
- Be a licensed driver with auto insurance in good repair
Qualifications
