Caregiver – Part-Time | Prosperity Home Care

About the role

Prosperity Home Care is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to join our growing team serving seniors and families throughout San Diego County. We are a licensed non-medical home care organization committed to providing authentic, family- and community-centered care. Our caregivers help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes while building meaningful relationships with the individuals and families they serve.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living
• Provide companionship and social engagement
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility and walking
• Provide medication reminders
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments or errands
• Provide respectful, dependable support according to the client's care plan

Requirements

• Compassionate, dependable, and professional
• Comfortable working directly with seniors and families
• Reliable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Strong communicator
• Respectful of different cultures, backgrounds, and family environments
• Interested in developing meaningful relationships with the people they serve
• Previous caregiving experience is preferred but candidates with strong transferable experience and a genuine commitment to serving others are encouraged to apply
• Must meet applicable California Home Care Aide requirements before client assignment, including required registration, background clearance, health documentation, and training

Pay

Starting pay: $18–$20 per hour

Schedule

• Part-time opportunities
• Approximately 10–25 hours per week depending on client assignments
• Typical minimum shift: 4 hours
• Hours and assignments depend on client needs and caregiver availability
• Client assignments available throughout San Diego County
