Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living
• Provide companionship
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Help with simple meal preparation
• Assist with socialization
• Provide client transport
• Perform housekeeping services/laundry
• Provide homemaker services
• Run errands and provide incidental transportation
• Maintain required competencies and skills
• Report changes in client conditions or family situation immediately
• Document activity consistently and concisely according to protocols
• Comply with applicable local, state, federal laws and Unity policies
• Satisfy mandatory training requirements
• Promote and maintain confidentiality
• Maintain personal and professional boundaries
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Previous caregiving, homemaking or personal care work preferred but not required
• CNA or Personal Care Worker experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, including every other weekend (consecutive Saturday and Sunday)
• Ability to complete all training and pre-employment background checks within required deadlines
