Caregiver (Part Time)

About the role

The Caregiver at Woodbridge Terrace of Irvine meets community residents' needs by helping with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include monitoring residents' well-being, assisting with tasks, providing companionship, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' well-being and report any changes in condition promptly
• Assist with simple requests and learn resident preferences for exceptional customer service
• Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other ADLs
• Encourage self-care and document care provided consistently
• Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations
• Respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures
• Help residents with assistive devices and encourage self-care
• Document care provided and review 24-hour reports and care checklists
• Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy
• Support resident-centered wellness programs and special events
• Aid in maintaining community common areas and residents' rooms
• Assist with resident laundry and other tasks as assigned
• Support open communication and resolve resident questions
• Work as part of the team and maintain high standards of appearance and grooming
• Reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Ensure regulatory compliance and report issues to supervisor
• Support continuous improvement and adhere to company standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Nursing assistant course recommended
• First Aid certification and CPR, if required
• State training requirements and/or certifications (e.g., CNA)
• Basic competency in using multiple forms of technology
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Schedule

Part Time | Friday & Sunday, 6am-2pm + Monday, 2pm-10pm

Pay

Pay range: $18-22/hr DOE
