CAREGIVER - (PART TIME)

About the Role

We are an established company in the caregiving industry that values and appreciates our staff. This companionship and caregiving position offers three 4-hour shifts (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday only) and opportunities to assist seniors in living as fully and independently as possible while remaining in their homes.

Responsibilities

• Transferring and positioning of the client
• Observing and reporting changes in physical and mental conditions
• Assisting with skin care (applying over-the-counter lotions to prevent dry skin)
• Cleaning and maintaining medical equipment (power wheelchair, hospital bed, shower chair, and Hoyer lift)
• Accompanying the client on outings (grocery, doctor appointments, pharmacy errands)
• Meal preparation and cleanup
• Basic home chores (sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry)
• Personal care assistance (toileting)
• Bathing (performing skilled transfers into the shower)
• Assisting with dressings
• Providing companionship and conversation
• Completing documentation for each shift and submitting timely updates
• Communicating routinely with the office about the condition and needs of clients

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 2+ years of related caregiving experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Personal vehicle with current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
