Parking: Behind the building; use the ramp closest to Kenyon Street to reach the 2nd floor.
About the role
On-the-spot interviews and hiring. Snacks, beverages, and details about our paid HCA training program will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Meal preparation
- Medication reminders and assistance
- Assistance with bathing, grooming, and mobility
- Stand-by support, repositioning, or lifting
- Companionship—conversation, games, walks, etc.
- Light housekeeping
- Transportation to appointments and errands (as needed)
Requirements
- Active WA State HCA or CNA license (Fedelta offers a fully compensated licensure program for new caregivers)
- Driver’s license, vehicle, car insurance, and clean driving record
- Day-time availability
- Ability to work in Thurston or Mason County
- Smartphone for timekeeping (iPhone or Android)
- Reliable transportation to client locations
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Experience and tact in communicating with diverse populations
- Professionalism and customer-service standards in stressful situations
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Technical aptitude for records management systems and health-care programs such as WellSky Personal Care
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (C-NA), Home Care Aide (HCA), or Home Health Aide (HHA) license required (must remain in good standing)
- RN Delegation certification highly desired
- Satisfactory driver abstracts and proof of auto insurance (if driving for duties)
Skills
- Patience and active listening
- Knowledge of generally accepted care standards
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 100 pounds (assisted) seldom
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, balance, use hands, talk, hear, bend, and reach
- Occasionally required to climb, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body
- Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Pay
$23.25 – $24.75 per hour, based on experience
$0.72 per mile reimbursement
