The Caregiver

The Caregiver at BridgePoint at Los Altos meets community residents' needs by helping with activities of daily living. Responsibilities include encouraging independence, ensuring residents' physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being, and responding to emergencies.

• Maintain residents' well-being and report any changes to the appropriate associate/departments immediately
• Assist with simple requests and learn resident preferences for exemplary customer service
• Supervise or assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, ambulation, and other activities of daily living
• Provide companionship and develop strong resident relations
• Encourage self-care of residents and document care provided
• Support resident-centered wellness programs and respond to resident questions
• Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy, practice safety, and adhere to regulations
• Support open communication and assist with resident and community events
• Assist with room upkeep and laundry as assigned
• Work as part of the team and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent preferred
• Nursing assistant course recommended
• First Aid certification and CPR, if required
• Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications (Nursing Assistant Certification desirable)
• Basic competency in using multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Office applications and internet-based applications
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Pay and Benefits

• Pay range: $22-25/hr DOE
• Hiring bonus: $500 for part-time; $1000 for full-time
