About the role

At Sedgebrook, our caregivers do more than assist with daily tasks—they make a real difference in the lives of residents they serve. Instead of rushing from room to room, you'll provide personalized, one-on-one support to residents in the comfort of their own apartment homes. You'll have the opportunity to build genuine relationships, help residents maintain their independence, and be part of moments that make each day meaningful.

Responsibilities

  • Aid residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Encourage residents to remain active, engaged, and independent
  • Accompany residents to appointments, errands, and community activities
  • Aid with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and occasional pet care
  • Document services provided using a mobile app
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to supervisors
  • Participate in required training and team meetings

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional caregiving experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Comfortable using a smartphone for timekeeping and care documentation
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Experience supporting seniors or individuals living with dementia
  • Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain after hire)

Schedule

Full-Time Guaranteed minimum of 37.5 hours per week. Must provide at least 50 hours of weekly availability. Flexible scheduling. Weekend availability required. Weekend Availability Requirement: To help ensure consistent support for our residents, caregivers must be available for either: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) with at least 8 hours of availability each day, or One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) each week with at least 8 hours of availability. Preferred Shift Options: 12-Hour Shifts 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Short Shifts 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
