Responsibilities

  • Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support to seniors.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Provide medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential outings.
  • Observe and report changes in the senior's health or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant changes in the client's condition.
  • Participate in clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.).
  • Report completed activities and provide updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Requirements

  • 1 year of CNA/NA/PCA experience preferred (new PCAs/CNAs welcome with in-home care training provided).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (may need to drive clients in your own vehicle; mileage reimbursed).
  • Willingness to work in homes with pets (cats and/or dogs).
  • Passion for helping others and strong customer service skills.
  • Desire to make a difference in your community.
