Caregiver - Direct Support Professional - Castle Rock - Full Time or Part Time

About the role

This position involves supporting individuals in residential settings through behavioral support programs, self-care assistance, and essential duties while maintaining consumer dignity. Paid training is provided, and the starting wage is $19/hr. Call 715-835-9202 for details.

Responsibilities

• Seek out opportunities for community and social integration
• Help consumers plan and prepare choices of fun events and outings
• Assist with self-care: dressing, bathing or showering, brushing teeth, toileting, shaving
• Administer medications
• Prepare and plan meals
• Transport consumers
• Follow individual service plans
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Acceptable Background Character Verification
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for consumer transport
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Physical ability to twist, turn, squat, bend, reach, pull, push from high/low positions, raise arms above shoulder, walk, sit (chair and floor), climb stairs, and use hands and fingers
• Basic English communication skills
• Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
• Experience with adults with disabilities (preferred)
