Caregiver/Direct Care Provider (PRN)

About the Role

As a Caregiver/Direct Care at CNS, you will play a critical role in transforming lives by helping individuals with brain injuries regain their independence and quality of life. You’ll work in a supportive, residential apartment or home-like setting, providing skilled instruction and supervision to patients while engaging in social, recreational, and community activities.

Responsibilities

• Teach, monitor, administer, and document individual patient programs, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and therapeutic home programs in English.
• Perform bed, bath, toilet, and chair transfers (up to 20 times per shift) using approved transfer techniques.
• Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, staff, and yourself when interacting with patients who may exhibit behavioral outbursts, such as yelling, exiting, hitting, kicking, biting, spitting, scratching, or throwing objects.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, health screen, and criminal record check (fingerprints) for caregiver positions.

Pay

• Starting wage: $17.00/hr.
• Opportunity to earn up to $21.25/hr within six months through our continuing education program.
• $1/hr shift differential for the 3pm – 11:30pm shift.
