Caregiver/Direct Care Provider (PRN)

Daily pay is available for this Caregiver/Direct Care position, where you will help individuals with traumatic brain injuries regain independence and quality of life. Responsibilities

• Supervise and directly train patients with brain injuries in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and therapeutic home programs.
• Teach, monitor, administer, and document individual patient programs—including ADLs and therapeutic home programs—in English.
• Perform bed, bath, toilet, and chair transfers (up to 20 times per shift) using approved transfer techniques.
• Ensure safety for patients, visitors, staff, and yourself when interacting with patients who may exhibit behavioral outbursts such as yelling, exiting, hitting, kicking, biting, spitting, scratching, or throwing objects.
• Provide skilled instruction and supervision in a residential apartment/home‑like setting.
• Engage patients in social, recreational, shopping, and entertainment activities in community settings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a drug screen, health screen, and criminal background check (fingerprints) for caregiver positions.

Pay

• Starting wage of $17.00 per hour.
• Opportunity to earn up to $19.25 per hour within six months through the continuing education program.
• $1.00 per hour shift differential for regularly scheduled 3 pm – 11:30 pm shifts.
